I thought they would be the same thing, the hypothesis is a prediction of what will happen, based on the facts, so it has to be a reasonable predicition.

The dictionarys definitions are:

Hypothesis: Proposistion or supposition made as the basis for reasoning or investiagtion, a groundless assuption.

Predition: The art of predicting or the process of being predicted.

I would have to say again that they are similar, in a general science term, it might be different for biology however, which l am unsure about.

You may probably also want to add a 'risk assessment' section where u basically discuss the risks involved, ways to prevent them, and what to do if the risk does occur. You could probably include it after ur discussion.

Wouldn't you put the risk assessment into the discussion?

Also you could put down things you could have done diffeently/changed - but this could also be added in the discussion.

as far as i did it

aim
hypothesis
equipment
method
results
conclusion
discussion

as far as i understand it, i see prediction and hypothesis as essentially the same thing
in a hypothesis by making an educated guess arnt u basically making a prediction of the outcome?
thats how i see it anyways
and to answer a previous statement
i always put my risk evaluation and assessment in my discussion

the conclusion essentially entails wether or not the hypothesis was supported, in an experiment i was told to never say that the hypothesis was proven, always to say it was supported if it was a positive result, otherwise the exeriment either failed to support the experiment
the discussion follows and in it you discuss as it suggest, the experiment and ur results and how u came to your conclusion
if your experiment 'failed' u discuss reasons and to why this might hav happened and postulate possible solutions so that further experiments might be more successful
do as u will but i prefer having discussion after conclusion as it makes logical sense to me
then again
u might think otherwise

telepathetic :)
