To be perfectly honest, if all you're looking for are employment oppurtunities, you should consider doing a TAFE diploma in communication rather than uni, since its faster, somewhat cheaper and has the relevant industry standards to get you out there.

COST: In 2006 the TAFE NSW Fee for this course will be $290.00 per semester. All
fees must be paid up front at enrolment. NO CASH is accepted - you may pay by
EFTPOS, Visa card, Mastercard, cheque or money order.If your course runs for more
than one semester you may have the option to pay in two half-yearly payments. If you
are in receipt of a Commonwealth benefit or Youth Allowance you may be entitled to an

complete a broad range of basic media related tasks and gives you the necessary
foundation to enter the media industry at pre-cadetship level.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES: The more able graduates of this course may seek
employment within the media industry in areas such as print, radio or television
journalism. There are of course, further employment opportunities in organisational
communication - establishing and maintaning websites, media management and internal
communication. Freelance work opportunies also exist for some of the most talented
graduates, especially those with knowledge or expertise catering to niche markets. At
Petersham College this course is aligned with the off-the-job training requirements of
the Media Journalism Traineeships now being introduced in public sector agencies, etc.
