I want to take an extra subject this semester. Does anyone know how I can go about doing this?
Who I have to speak to, etc.

Most universities require you to speak to your course coordinator. A good starting point might be a lecturer if you can't find out the coordinator, or can't contact them.

call your faculty office, ask their receiptionist, they'll either send you off to the course advisor or the course convenor.....though you will need to show cause and you will need to get it signed off by all your lecturers

Have you overloaded before?
Do you think it is a good idea to do so?

I havent ...yet...but im considering it
for the econ/comm faculty to let you do it you have to have pretty stellar marks to show you can cope
Im not sure i will, i think i will save up and do it as summer school next holidays (its $2250 in econ which really bites considering you can hecs it in law)
