Hi everyone,
I'm a first year student and planning to work and study part-time in Civ Eng.
If you've ever experienced it or known anyone who has, would you please give me some advices to whether or not doing so.
Some people suggested me to work in the field as it will gain me more experiences and future employment opportunities.
Please reply me ASAP because my enrollment is due very soon.

Hi, cool so ur doing civil engineering at uts same ere , well im doing full time i heard part time was only longer thats the con but if u wanna work and study it should be flexible for u but then again its ur choice, with the civil engineering course we get 2 six month periods of paid engineering experience in a real workplace setting which could be useful , in my opinion i would recommend doing fulltime like i dont wanna graduate from uni when i am like 30 or something and then from their begin ur career then having a family i reckon it would be too late but yea thats just my opinions , hehe my enrollment is tomorrow at 10.30 am and im like still unsure what subjects to choose and what major awww i hope i make the right choice tmr , good luck in ur decision hope it works out cya later

Sorry kido525, I'm not doing Civil Engineering. The question was posted dues to a request from my friend whose account hasn't been activated.

By the way, thanks for your thoughtful advice.
Good luck with your study at UTS.
