if i do bcom- accg part time at MQ with a cadetship, what time will be my stuff at uni, eg- tutes, letures, etc.

the work would probably go from 9 - 5.

also how many hours of work is part time compared to full time uni?

edit: or can someone just direct to me someway to find this info. thanks.

as far as i know, you choose what part time is. you choose the amount of lessons you think you can cope with and do them.

http://www.timetables.mq.edu.au/index.html
click:
2004 timetable maker
our grid timetable maker (on the right)

you can enter your courses, and it will come up with a timetable. from this you can make your own timetable, which should give you an idea of what time your stuff at uni will be on at

You'd be doing "Evening" sessions, and you'd be expected to do roughly 6 CPs per semester.

so how much would that amount to in terms of how long the degree will take.

edit: also approx how many hours per week would be spent at the uni for lectures.

I'd say 5 years? (Depending on Summer School and if you take 9 CPs per semester)

5 yrs :s

http://handbook.mq.edu.au/programofstudy.php?code=DY002

from that, i would need to do those subjects right? i just want to make sure those are the ones i have to do, so i can use to timetable maker.

also approx how many hours per week would be spent at the uni for lectures.

and if i spend a year doing full time uni, that would cut my time by one year, right.

sorry for all the questions. it is kinda important/urgent. :)

Yes.

If you spend a year doing Full-Time study it would reduce the number of year by more than 1... maybe 1.5 years? Depends on how many CPs you're willing to take per semester and if you fail anything or not (esp prereqs).

another thing confusing abt the list of subjects.
it says: Number of credit points required for the degree
68

then at the bottom, in bold it says: TOTAL CREDIT POINTS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROGRAM 71

I'd say about 7 to 9 hours per week.

Besides the units listed on that page, you will have electives ie. you have a choice of what units you want to do (provided you meet the requirements if there are any).

That would be about right. Evening sessions - anything from 6pm to 9pm. So three would be about right.

You're welcome. :)

click 2004 timetable maker

then grid timetable maker on the right

you need to know what core units, and what electives you will be doing.

pick the prefix, then the number, then the session, then the day/night in the little drop down boxes for the subject. then click to add to the list.

when you have added all your subjects, you can click to make the timetable. you will get a grid with all the different classes you can have. you have to go through and pick the classes you want

Leanne, what iambored posted... Plus:

* Check out you're Degree program - Cored units you must do / Electives you can choose.
* Grab a handbook with unit, and find out what you want to do...
* Then use the timetable maker, by entering unit, etc - then what iambored posted.
