Hey, I got a question. Do you guys remmber the photoelectric effect experiment where light is shone onto a sodium metal surface and photoelectrons are emitted to a collector plate?

Should the sodium plate be positively or negatively charged to measure the current from the ammeter?

Well think about it.. You want electrons to jump from the sodium metal to the collector plate.
So the sodium plate should have a lower potential ("negative") than the collector's plate.
NOTE: Only runs in direct current
