Physics Textbook (1 Viewer)

I'm after a physics textbook that addresses all the dot points, but nothing more. i.e. updated for the new physics course with all the extra stuff cut out.

Currently I'm using jacaranda but it just seems too long to go through.

The closest thing I've found is here: www.edassist.com.au - anyone know of any others?

I've written dot point notes for every topic.

I've read every part I need from jacaranda to create my notes.

I'm aiming to achieve a mid band 6, I need every damn resource I can get my hands on to compare it to what I've got.

You have no right to say that. You do not know anything about me.

If you're not going to post anything helpful, don't bother posting at all.

i think the excel hsc physics book is in the phys resources section...like the whole thing...jus print it of at school....or you could buy it, but yeh

i find it pretty good for extra bits of info or diff views coz im doing physics by dist ed

Excel? I don't use Excel much at all - I have physics, chemistry and economics.

The reason being I find their explanations tend to lack depth, or are expressed in an unusual way.

its better than jacaranda..
some parts of jacaranda arent really easy to read (and they're written by different teachers).
but excel doesnt address every single one of the dot points, I must say.

you can download summaries from the Resources section, if you think they have enough "depths".
Also, I made notes to supplement one in the Resources section.

if you are lookin at improvin on mid band 6 results, u need to put extra 200% effort in... as in, the mark u get tends to a limit, and as ur mark gets higher, it require more energy/effort to get abit better than wut u are at now..

for phys, i recommend spot light, bio context and chem pathway... they contain alot of extra info... very fun to read and brilliant to show the examiner how much of science do u know... but then agian, hsc science is alot bs, i have to agree... they test on ur ability to respond to dp alot, not the scientific content itself...

edit: i believe excel is not as good as jac... it contains too insubstantial info... tis good for revision, when u know all the flesh, only the skeleton to be reminded of the big picture....

I know how hard it is.

But on top of the study in the holidays, we also have 1 week free before the physics exam (its really spaced out from the other exams) - ample time to go over all the work again in detail + do heaps more past papers.

@ dude431: i would recommend practice essay style questions alot more, if u already know the basics... make sure u know how to give impeccable answers to popular verbs like assess, analyse, etc etc...

really?
I havent read any past papers (yes!, lol)
but my teacher showed me 1 exemplar band 5/6 answer and it's not really perfect
so.. that means its not extremely hard to band 6.
