Poor english student needs advice (1 Viewer)

i never really had the basic skills of writing an essay in 40min because i lack the skill of constructing sentences on spot and writing fast. When i do this at home, i can survive because i got more than enough time.

Even by remembering points about the texts, i'm gonna be sitting in the exam room thinking of sentence strutures to express it.

I usually go around this through remembering a prepared essay but other than that, i dont know how else i can go about this.

Should just remember my essays word to word or just remember all points?

I say points.

The fault in memorising essays word for word is that a) you run the risk of writing a good essay that doesn't answer the question (bad) or b) you forget your prepared essay, and all hell breaks loose.

My advice is to write practice essays. LOTS OF THEM! Get used to thinking on the spot. After a few prac essays you'll begin to get a feel for the generic stuff you put in every essay - and it is this generic stuff that will save you a lot of stress and hassle, as it's just a matter of re-wording the same thing to answer the question correctly.

Of course, this is just the way I'm doing it...

I was like that until yesterday, i wrote like 10 pages, i never did that before in my life.

haha! lol yeah me too, i rote heaps compared to my average of 4 pages for 40 minutes! anybody cramming for paper two yet????? lol im skrewed i didnt even study properly or memorise any quotes and stuff yet.......and i duno what the hell my related texts are about........and why the hell am i still on this???? i dont know!!!! well.........i better go and start studying.........gudbye pple and gudluck!!!
