I'm in yr 11 and I have my M.history yearlys on Monday.. For the first two sections it will be on Indochina and the Decline and Fall of the Romanov Dynasty. She gave hints that the questions would be one "describe" and another "Assess" What types of things is she likely to ask??? Nationalism? And how long should these mini essays be?

yes i did the decline of Tsarist Russia but i dont have any quotes. All i know is that in my exam and ppl from other schools ive talked to have their two focus studies and unification of italy and germany, and the world b4 WWI I have done the French Revolution, the Chilean Revolution, Tsarist Russia and Germany. A fkn lot and my exam is on friday!

Assess the contribution of ______ in the fall of the Romanov Dynasty?

It could be assessing the contribution of the Tsar's Leadership, the emergence of opposition groups(mensheviks, blosheviks, etc), bloody sunday, Rasputin and his influence on the empress, the involvement of Russia in the Russo-japanese war (and the consequences of their loss), the backwardness of the country in industry, working&living conditions...etc.

Like what rama_v said, just study all the contributing factors to the fall of the Romanov dynasty possible- and you can answer any question given cos you have all areas covered. "Describe" will be the best and easiest question you can get cos you basically just decribe and give detail to what happened. With Assess, its hard cos you make a judgement of the extent of such and such in bringing the fall of the dynasty.

Oh and i neva did Indochina- i did South Africa so i cant help you there. Good Luck
