hi

im currently doing a degree

going really bad, failing here and there

i want to transfer to another course, luckily, the UAI cutoff for that course is a mark or so lower then my UAI.

now if the cutoff doesn't raise past my UAI, can i get a transfer for next semester? or do they take into account my crap uni marks and refuse to have me?

thanks alot

Cooleroo, i'm not sure about the answer to your question, so I will leave that to someone else. My question is...If you are in your second year of uni...are you able to transfer? If so, do thay take the better of your UAI and course marks, or just course marks. Thanks.

Cooleroo: Your UAI is the sole determinant of a transfer if it is a mid-year transfer.

matt#1: Yes you are (except Law), and what marks they take depend on what you want to transfer to, as it has become evident that faculties have different rules. It's usually 50/50 UAI and tertiary marks, but some faculties are known to take the higher of uni marks or UAI.
