Hey guys,

I just want to know if any of you guys know which exam it was that contained the following questions... (Independant, STA, etc???)

Identification & Production of Materials:

Why use Vinegar? Why is a named strong acid (HCl) stronger than vinegar?
Increasing concentration of solutions in a Galvanic Cell.
How much Sulphur & Nitrogen Oxides in atmosphere? Evidence of this?

The Acidic Environment:

How Brnsted-Lowy improved on the ideas of Arrhenius, Davy, Galvani, etc,

Chemical Monitoring & Management:

Haber Process comparing to esterification (things like rate of reaction, yields, etc.)

Shipwrecks & Salvage:

What is rust?
Rusting List of different rods in beakers. Which one will corrode quickest? Iron, Tin, other.
Salt Solution Change in rate of reaction.
Factors which effect electrolysis
Properties & Types of steels
Sacrificial anodes

Cheers

i didn't do that one but maybe someone could tell me which one i did!

Production of metals:
Ethanol as a solvent
addition polymers
draw the structure of ethanol

The acidic environment
titration question about standard solution
draw the structure of an ester

Chem monitoring
water quality with a table thing at the top

Industrial Chemistry
equilibrium constant question
uses of sulfuric acid
whopping 9 mark quesstion on diaphragm cells, mercury cells and membrane cell

that is all i can think of. I know our teachers were getting a lot of papers o they might have cut and pasted a bit.

Did anyone get the 9-marker! it was phenomenal! how can you have a 9 mark question!!
