Which is better to do postgrad ACST for non-ACTST students - UNSW or MQ? Whats the difference?

In short, postgrad ACST is best at Macq. I'm biased.

say if one completed a basic commerce degree at NSW or Mac ... would they have to do ALL the acst subjects again as a post-grad ?
e,g stat171 ?

In short, yes (if you want to gain Institute recognition or be qualified as an actuary in Australia via studying in university... I see no other way, because STAT171 is a prereq for ACST211 - which is a prereq for the old ACST243 and new ACST354 - and for STAT272/271.)

Is all those STAT/ACST 100/200/30 lvl subjects at MQ have equivilance at NSW ?, or are their acst degrees structured differntly.

The actuarial degree program is sufficiently different, especially in the early years.

They have very roughly equivalent 100-level units, although they take 1 more maths unit.
They have roughly equivalent 200-level units, with the exception of STAT272/1 where they only do 1 unit, and ACST211.
They have close equivalent 300-level units.

Macquarie papers seem to be more difficult/Macquarie gives fewer higher grades.

But Macquarie is rated higher in Actuarial because it has a proven and established system.

That's such a subjective question/can't answer (besides pointing out the recent innovation of Control Cycle which is now an integral part of qualifying as an actuary in Australia).

i didn't answer the question because i don't know enough to properly answer that question (darn, negative marking).

its a subjective question..
im waitn for isaaq to answer it using wot happened to him last week...

but i'll also add that if ur tryn to argue which uni is the best to do acst in the world, some may argue macquarie. but i dun fink any1 would argue unsw at this stage.
