so let's talk about the stigma of 'pre-nuptial agreements'.

girls, would you sign one?
guys, would you sign one?

the stint about tara reid calling of the wedding, because her fiances father gave her an ultimatum has got me thinking.
but then of course who the heck would marry her without one?? gold digging cum guzzling slut.

i'll give you a few scenarios.

1) you get what you had prior to the marriage (so whatever the assets you think you would have prior to the wedding ceremony). fiancees family have a few million in assets.. no-prenup means no wedding

2) you get 10% if in the unfortunate event that you divorce. (your fiancee is a rising star in the legal/financial/hollywood scene.. but currently has nothing). you will also not get any child/wife support on top of that.. if you choose to have children (for simplicity's sake we won't go into possibilities with litigation in the family court). no pre-nup means no wedding

3) you get $2 million settlement (the fiancees family is a multi-millionaire (in the tens of millions).. again, no pre-nup means no wedding.

now do not think of these in relation to the other. you obviously can't choose which scenario you would be offered, so take them individually, in prospect.

so if i were given scenario 1).. i would.. .. 2) i would not 3) etc.

not 'i would choose 2)'

edit: are you gonna get one if you get married?

1) yes
2) no
3) yes

When I get married, I'm signing one with my wife, in case of divorce, I dont want her to take anything from me.

Now out of those, 1 & 3 are the best, 10% is too much incase you're too rich, and 3) the actual amount depends on what I'm like.

etc

I'd sign one if I was asked to, and it would be fine as long as it took care of any children that came out of the marriage. I wouldn't ask for spousal support because I will have a job, and it's not my ex-partner's responsibility to take care of me once we're divorced.

For b) I don't think you can sign a pre-nup that says 'no child support'. I'm fairly certain that children must be taken care of financially.

historically women were once loyal and trustworthy (in general) but the same cannot be said for men. penis>>>brain in terms of influence on actions.

the two arent really mutually exclusive. i mean rich men are can be good providers, but still think with their penises.

I would sign a pre-nuptial agreement. These days, it is hard to know whether or not a marriage will successfully last for "eternity". In this day and age, there has been a significant increase in the number of divorces and you just never know, you might just be one of those divorced couples. I wouldnt want to leave a marriage with nothing, so yes, i will sign a pre-nuptial agreement.

anyone ever thought about he fact that pre nups actually anticipate divorce?

if youre getting married, youre getting married because you truly believe that youre going to love the person for the rest of your life.

if you sign a pre nup, isnt that kind of saying "yeah sure i love you, but one day i think we'll get a divorce cause i reckon youll fuck me best mate, so im gonna keep all me shit so you dont get any of it"?

in my opinion, marriage has been far too commercialised, and this is proved by the actual existence of a pre nuptial agreement.

No,you get half anyway and most prenuptials don't hold up in court anyway.

I'd be insulted.

What you gain in marriage is both yours and hers/his.

not when you get married to a rich guy, and the divorce him after 2 years, why the fuck should you get 50% of his shit when he had it before you got married.
