I was wondering what the question wants us to write when they ask how does the date the source was produced would influence with reliability? I have to do a source analysis on a propaganda poster produced in Britain in 1916 before conscription was introduced... ><"
please help me!!!

It's pretty straight forward, if it was written during the time of the war (known as a primary source), it would be more reliable than if it was written after the fact. Your propaganda poster is a primary source so it has a direct link to that time period so it is very reliable in showing how propanga was used.

But if there was an article in the newspaper written a week ago, commenting on propaganda during the war, it wouldn't be as reliable because the author didn't actually experience the period...

its reliable because its an example of how propaganda was used by the British back in 1914-1915 to get people to join the army, encourage people for financial investments, encourage hatard of the enemy etc ...
