Most computer manufacturers bundle Microsoft Office with new computers, but some don't. Its not a part of Windows.

they dont always come standard, i got lotus 123 which is useless now anyway.
Either buy it or if you have a friend, ask them for it for a "trial".

If you read the first line on that page, it reads:
PowerPoint Viewer 2003 lets you view full-featured presentations created in PowerPoint 97 and later versions.

PowerPoint Viewer lets you watch presentations for free. You need the actual PowerPoint program to create PowerPoint presentations. Either buy the program, or download the trial version, both of which have been suggested above.

If you are using Internet Explorer, go View -> Text Size to make the text bigger.

Why pay $200 plus to buy Office 2003 when you can download Open Office for free. It includes alternatives to Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Worlks with virtually the same functionality as their Microsoft counterparts. They are compatible with the same file formats (so you can easily transfer your work between the 2 programs) and the interface is near identical. At only 65megabytes to download, its worthwhile to check it out before dishing out money for MS Office. I use both Microsoft Office (on my family PC) and Open Office (on my own PC) and I find very little difference between the two, except Open Office never asks me if I need help writing my letters.

PS Open Office 2 looks like it is going to be most awesome.

I recommend buying office. Its pretty much a neccesity these days, and its something you should have.

As office is the standard you should learn how to use that instead of other office wannabes. Would be useful for when you enter the workforce etc...
