with the progression status do they do it according to our marks ALL year....or 2ND semester only?

like for example 1st semester i passed 4/4 units...
but second semester i failed 3/3 units

so does n e 1 know what happens?

thanks

i'm assuming the semester...

coz i mean... yeah you passed all of em in 1st semester, but if you failed all your units in 2nd semester or were on conditional enrolment or whatever, averaging it out with 1st semester wouldn't make sense... especially coz of units being prereq's etc...

just go via the loinks on pweb - it should say

if u failed a subject that was a pre-requisite then u wont be doing the other subject next sem..it all depends on what subjects u failed and which ones u passed..if theyre not pre-requisites then you'l progress unless they're worried u failed 3/3 units in one sem

an email has been sent to our uws email accounts just recently :

>From 13 January you will receive a letter from the University advising
your academic performance for the past 12 months has been checked
against the progression rules. Please make sure your University mailing
address is up to date.

Depending on the outcome of this progression check the advice you
receive will inform you on your enrolment status for 2006.

The letter you receive could be one of the following:

Good standing: This letter advises you have successfully passed the
progression rules and approved to proceed with your 2006 enrolment;

Conditional enrolment: This letter advises that you passed less than 50%
of unit attempts which means you can only enrol in a reduced load for
2006 of no more than 30 credit points for full-time students or 10
credit points for part-time students;

Exclusion: If you have failed the same or equivalent unit three (3)
times or you have failed conditional enrolment twice, then you will be
excluded from the University for 12 months;

Exclusion for maximum time. If you fail to complete your course within
the maximum time you will be excluded from the University for 2 years.

Should you receive one of the failed outcome letters and believe this
was caused by extenuating circumstances you do have the right of appeal.
Appeals close on 31 January 2006

I thought i read it somewhere already...
it says that theyll send one out after each semester on the progression site anyway

"In January 2006, we will be implementing a new Progression and Graduation Policy. This means that progression checks will be undertaken twice each year, at the end of Autumn and Spring teaching sessions"

but yeah, good one LaraB for using logic there...

and as Jennifer has posted, youll get the letter soon in the mail, 13 of JAn..so you dont have to fret abotu it until you recieve it and it shall inform you of the course of action to take
