Evenin' all,

I posted this up in meggymoo's feedback thread but I didnt get much, but I need some more opinions.

Tell me anything about it. I've already had one point saying the text should be centred.

Anything else?

Also, I know the quality of the church is iffy, but I'm fiddling, and the little thing at the bottom left is the STC logo.

Thanks a bunch.

Remember: The BoS wants you to give this meaning. Right now its a church on fire, meggy_moo's had layering, and alot for interpretation. Yours looks really snazzy, but is it something you can analyse, and markers appreciate.

Eg: Drama activity, do a promotion/program for state of shock. A whole bunch of groups got up and gave this beautiful image, but one group who had a black canvas, covered in barbed wire and splattered with red got the best marks, because it was Symbolic of something.

Use symbolism. BoS LOVES symbolism!

Yup, fair point.

Basically, one of the themes/issues in the play is the destruction of religion, and lightning is another theme that crops up alot.

So the burning church symbolises the destruction of religion, and the lightning...well yeah.

This isn't the design I'm going to be using in my final one anyway, but it's the other design i'm considering...

Thanks Will :)

BOS DOES love symbolism. I remember going to OnStage 3 years ago and seeing this amazing GP with water. I spoke to heaps of people who hated it (I love it by the way lol) But I can assume that it got such a good mark was because of the symbolism. I can't remember what the piece was about or why the group put themselves in water, but at the time it was extremely symbolic, and actually really powerful.

The point to my babble is that Will is absolutely correct in saying BOS loves symbolism.

Yeah, i getcha!

Like I said, or meant to say, i dont know the play.

But would a row of burning crosses work just as well? I know thats in a Madonna vid, but it looks really effective. I don't know about the CGI, i think photos work MUCH better. But otherwise, thats my two cents :p lol. Good Luck

Heheh, thanks.

My other design is a bit more symbolic than this one, but i need to get a model for that... and that's coming along...well, at least, that's what I tell my teacher.

Anyway, the other one has a person holding out a broken rosary necklace thingy. Same background, no church.

Meh?

That sounds better

destroy a symbol of religion, rather than the house of it.

Nice Layout. Involve the text more, needs to jump out... If you're going to destroy a symbol of religion don't use a crucifix...overcooked idea.

Btw, I was promising a pic of my latest local design...here for those P&P people if they want to look...

It's low quality...had to make it crap to fit it on here....lol
