Some students are straight up calling or texting their teachers on their phones for help, and mine won't even answer my emails even though they said they would (including my maths teacher).
i need feedback on english, which is 30% of my HSC (I do 3u), but they're just not bothered and dgaf about their students who paid 40k to the school for this year alone trying to get through the HSC. I need my school teachers to help because they actually know the texts that we are writing about, whereas some random tutor wouldn't have ever read my prescribed texts. I sent my Advanced teacher an essay WEEKS ago that they said they would provide feedback for, but they just ghosted me, despite follow-up emails. Maybe my parents wasted all their hard earned money sending me to a private school.
The English department at Meriden school has a culture of laziness, negligence and obnoxiousness. (I've asked other teachers for help in the past when my teachers were unavailable and I was told off for asking people who weren't my teachers for help). Un-Christian work ethic at a Christian school.
inshallah i hope they find some shred of decency within their selfishness to at least let me know that they are not going to help me.
They believe that they are why Meriden does well in the HSC, but the statistics say that English is a weakness for them. Shame on them and hopefully they become better teachers for future years.
