Point of inflection: When a curve changes concavity i.e. f" = 0

Stationary point of inflction = horizontal point of inction: when curve changes concavity and also gradient changes sign i.e. f' = 0 and f" = 0.

Note: When testing for change of concavity, finding that f" = 0 is not enough. You must either show that f" changes sign on either side of the point of inflection(taught in schools) or use the 3rd derivative test(not taught in schools).
