I use Musicmatch Jukebox to convert mp3s files into wav form.
On Musicmatch Jukebox you can go File --> Convert Files and then convert the file.
There are other programs as well.

But when you convert mp3s into wav form, it becomes really big like 43mb and when you place it on your slideshow, so unless it's stored on a cd or otherwise you'll need to cut down.

So get audicity or a sound editor to cut out the audio bits you need and get rid of the bits you don't want.

How long does the song go for?

The equation to work out the wav. size is
= (Sample rate * sample size * time) * 2
sample rate= 44100 (44kHz is CD Quality, 32kHz is broadcast quality)
Sample size= 8 or 16 (16 is CD quality, whereas 8 is sufficeint)
time= seconds

This will give u the size in bits, which you divide by 8=bytes
Divide this by 1024=kB
Divide by 1024=MB

Yeh.. but "IF" you're using a mono track (pfft as if any1 listens to mono music) then u shouldn't have to multiply by 2
BTTP you can select "Record Narration" from tools and select the music from there

If it's Time of Your Life which is about 3 minutes, without using any complicated formula I predict around 36mb.
