I've noticed how limited the responses are in this forum :/ But anyways, I'm having trouble with Pygmalion.
I understand what's going in the play but I have no idea as to how to answer questions and would definitely not be able to write a proper response. I don't know of techniques either.
For example, How does Shaw create the distinctive voice of Eliza?
- um, through the use of her cockney dialect? That's all I can come up with.
How does Shaw use Eliza to comment on social class and status of early 20th century London?
- my teacher said I had to somehow integrate Shaw's context into it. I understand that as a result of Shaw's experiences, he wrote Eliza's character to represent his views but I can't write a damn proper essay paragraph. Plus, I'm sure there's more to it than this.
Someone help, please? Damn, I wish my teacher had chosen poetry or something.
- Sample paragraph or something?
