Could someone explain what i need to do when a question starts asking quantatively/qualitatively

Quantitatively simply means you have to have actual numerical calculations to show/prove/describe something. Usually involves equations and maths.

Qualitatively is referring to observations and descriptions rather than calculations, so things like colour, size, shape, etc.
