What raw mark do you need for 99 in 3u? Would it be closer to 81 or 83?

I *think* 83% or around gives 96 exam mark (aligned), because that's probably what I got last year. 83% is probably a fair guess, but I could have scored something like 87% or 90%, so you never know...

I actually wonder how much you need to get 99 in 4u too... I'm thinking 80%?

probably... maybe even slightly lower. Seeing that average raw is around 60% (?) and average scaled mark is ~94...

damn scaling... see, why didn't they move 10% of my raw maths mark onto english..

No no no, i meant an 83/84 (i.e. ~99%).

You definitely don't need 99% to get 99% so to speak. 3U maths would "scale up" , by how much I'm not sure though... conservatively, I'd put anything 80+ at 99.
