take heed of LaraB's words my apprentice for she posseses wise knowledge of...bah wtf?

Ehem, 2 days!!!! Are you joking me? Thats even better, i have to go 4 days so i cant get any shifts on weekdays which sucks (or a job). A tip, it deends on when units are available, like next semester you may do more or less depending on when the units are avaialble. 3 is the minimum number of units to be FT.
Check this link out for which units to be enrolled in: B.Bus(Mgt)
however because you are enrolling in spring, soem units wont be availabe (just like me when i was transferring). SO when you visit the link i posted, click in the first semester subjects and see if they are available in spring 2005. As natstar has posted, thoise are the subjects that are available.

Oh yeah, dont you get academic credit from SWIC?coz if you do, then first year subject you may be exempt... I think its better if you ask/email the course coordinater, wither Anneke (the course coordinater) or John (C'town course adviser) or someone.
Email: a.fitzgerald@uws.edu.au or john on j.fitzgerald@uws.edu.au
John may be better as he is the c'town guy and knows whats on what to do on your campus.

Note: about the firstr sentence, i cant do any majors so my comments abotu the course is a bit skewed. However, as a fresh enroller (my own word) you can do majors so the course is good. Yeah, and dont llisten to LaraB, she is also biased as she said so herself (lol) the course is ok, justr that its the only one without economics units which is weird in a business subject.

enjoy UWS!!

Umm, about the 2-3 unitsthing you asked, do you want to do FT? Because there is also electives that you can choose too!
HArdness: i seem to have ansered this question elsewhere, but here goes:
This is an essay type subject!!! You need at least some english knowledge like essay writing to at least pass. ITs based on alot of theories, the onyl math type is Accounting and its easy (coz i love it...) but if you learn the theories and forumlas and understand a balance sheet, youll be ok.
There is some practical management units (entrpren...) but the others alot about behavour, strucutres, power/politics, and strategic/international management.
Tip: pick another major, dont waste your electives! if you dont know what to chooose, leave it till later and do all you cores first.
AHrdness rating: moderate? if you aim for passes than its easy, if a HD well you better be a good arguer and a wide reader...

bout the no economics thing - from what i heard, i think their reason for it is coz its technically a double major so they have enough probs fitting in a decent amount of core subjects, but you can always pick em for your electives...

that is if you ain't doin a combined degree:( i dont get to pick any business electives coz i do electives in my law course instead which kinda sucka but ah well:)

double major...what, where? tell me! (i feel so uninformed)

i was actually thinking of doing a combined degree after i finish my business one...B Bus/B ? i just want to do another B Bus lol.
I dont want to waster my elective on economics if it wont get me atleast a sub major....which is a bummer.

what do you mean you cant pick business electives? Only law ones? ohh i c, majors form the Non grad electives only...bummer. You could always change your major, maybe HRM+IR to management? harharhar.

why would you wanna do a combined after you finish the first one???!!! that's another 5 years!!! you're insane!!!:p

HRM + IR is technically a double major since HRM is totally different from IR - most unis do ER... but coz they do them both under the collective heading ER, they don't seem to go as in depth into each aspect...

um....what you mean by the "non-grad electives"? coz i have no idea what you mean:p
you only pick law ones coz technically law is your 'main' half of your degree ... you still grad from business after 3 years like everyone else coz you only do 1 law unit for the last few semesters so you get all teh core bus ones in...

i think its good coz employers dont really seem to care if you did plain busines of bus/law as far as like..technically, we've done less stuff than straight bus students lol... altho i spose a lot of teh law units like intro to bus law cross over anyways...

but yeah - don't do it!!! doing another combined degree will send you crazy!!!! :p

lol, maybe my meaning got lost on the way to the computer screen...i might transfer (again) to a combined degree so i have finished my Bus one, i can do another one like maybe arts. so i have a double degree Bus/Arts...maybe i wont, antoehr what 2 years is sounds depressing and makes me seem like a "professional student" as my lecturer was mocking of.
i mean really, another combined after a 3 yr bus course = pain.

i meant for you, (i read the course outline for hr/ir/law) that you can only choose law majors, just as youve just mentioned in your post...

i found my own major: Majot in management, policy and practice. I mean the only majors that also makes policies is well HR/IR...Hi LaraB! ;) [although im still indecicive]

i dont think unis shouold even offer combined in PT...the reason? there is this guy i know who is only doing 1 degree but PT, has failed couple units etc yadda, and the uni has changed the degrees around so he has to keep finding a degree that will accept his previous studies...
and PT would suck for combined...10yrs!!!
