You get a relationship between the height and the radius. I think it was something like:
r/h=8/10
Then plug that information into the equation V=1/3pi*r^2*h.
Then you can find dv/dh and dv/dr.
I think the question was asking for dv/dh, so you plug in (r=8h/10) Then voila, you have an equation for dv/dt and dv/dh. Then you can find dh/dt using the chain rule
Thankyou it all makes sense now, but boy did I stuff that exam up, Our whole class got a lecture today about our appalling marks in the 2U paper, mine is too disgraceful to say, and I havent got the EX1 paper back, I hope they burn it!!!!!!!!!!!!
