Can anyone give me an answer to this quesiton?

The following explanation is a simplified version without using complete relativistic consideration.

As you travel faster the time required to travel from point A to point B will be longer than the time d/v due to time dilation. This time dilation offsets the increase in your speed and stops you from travelling faster then light.
