quote marks in linux (1 Viewer)

why cant i type single/double quote marks!!

it defaults to adding acents onto vowels

ie etc...

so damn annoying!!!!!

i canṫ find where to configure this!!!

please help

What version of linux are you using? i'm in Slackware now, and i can do quotes - "" ''. Have you tried changing the font?

yeah, i fixed it

i changed language to US english

rather than US international

Press the quotation mark key then press space whilst on US English.

Do the same with the single quotation mark...

Side Note: Pressing Double Quotation Mark gives this and doing it once then space does this ". The first will stuff up programming. The second will work.
