If you go to those famous quote search engines they have them.
Here are a few I had saved:
To change and to change for the better are two different things German Proverb
"If you never change your mind, why have one?"
-Edward de Bono
"Things do not change, we change"
-Thoreau
"A wise man changes his mind, a fool never will"
-Spanish proverb
"The only consistent people are the dead"
-Huxley
Resolve to be a master of change rather than a victim of change.
--Brian Tracy
Change is inevitable - except from a vending machine.
--Robert C. Gallagher
Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.
--George Bernard Shaw
All change is a miracle to contemplate; but it is a miracle which is taking place every instant.
--Henry David Thoreau
Change. It has the power to uplift, to heal, to stimulate, surprise, open new doors, bring fresh experience and create excitement
- unknown
When you are through changing, you are through.
- Bruce Barton
Not all of them are good, especially if you dunno who the person is (like Brian Tracy
). It does work well to open a speech with a quote though.
The one I ended up going for was "The only consistent people are the dead". The teacher laughed when I said it, which I
think was a good thing....kinda.....it was sorta meant to be funny, but I didn't expect a response and it threw me...urgh, I hate speeches *shudder*.
Good luck !
