Or allusions to..such as "We live in the flicker...may it last as long as the old earth keeps rolling." which is from heart of darkness i have one of my characters saying that, do i have to footnote it or do anything apart from mentioning it in my journal and reflection statement that ive used those kind of quotes ?

i cant find what to do with these and my teacher doesnt know either..

can anyone help ?

What form are you using, and how exactly are you using the quote

I have a couple of quotes in mine and my teacher hasn't said anything about footnoting
hmm...this could be a problem...

its a short story and someone is acutally saying it, like i wanted to draw the connections between the character ( who speaks in high elevated language so quotes from classic books is a go ) but yeah..eepthanks for the quick responses guys/gals, must be cos everyones on edge hehe

Well I dont think you'll need to footnote it
You could mention it in your RS maybe
