in the reflection statement, does quoting from you own major work count towards the word limit of 1500 words? (im doing a short story)

yes, but generally, you shouldn't be making your quotes too long.

it's deadly obvious if you have ridiculous amounts of quotage. :)

just skip the unnessary bits by using "..."

eg

I believe I have achieved the appropriate sensitivity in dealing with the concept of iconoclastic subversion through the challenge of official history and the cultural otherness of women in a global concern. Influeneced by existentialism, I also believe that I am successful in sustaining a discernment of the relationship between language and image

to

I... achieved... appropriate sensitivity in dealing with the concept of iconoclastic subversion through the challe

How my ENGL 1020 tutor put it: "A word is a word is a word."

It all counts.
