Im doing an assessment, and i need a radioisotope which is used in medicine and one in industry/agriculture. i have to write about how its used/ related to properties, benefits, problems, etc...
Was wondering if anyone could suggest which radioisotopes would be better to research on.

Thanks :)

For industry, try strontium-90 which is used in thickness gauges for industrial sheeting of materials such as plastics, paper and steel.

Do technitium-99m(?) or cobalt-60 for medical, easiest ones in my opinion

For industry you could do strontium-90 as the above person suggested or Americium-(??) forgot the number which is used in smoke alarms

You're right. It's technetium-99m. The industrial one is americium-241.
