RAM issues (1 Viewer)

OK honestly im stumped..
my 512 MB PC3200 ram is detected by my mobo to be 333mhz. ...
how can i change this?

mobo = asus p4p800 dlx

PC3200 RAM does come in 333MHz flavours. Have you checked if your RAM is this type?

A small rabbit hole....
If it isnt, go into your BIOS by pressing the Delete key when your computer startups. Under one of the menues it should have an option for changing the RAM clock speed.

its labelled 400 mhz.. so i figured it wasnt goin to be a problem..

Try what Merforga suggested - look in your mobo manual, and see if there is a setting for it.

If there isn't, or if the setting is locked at 333MHz, do some research on your brand/type of RAM, and see if it has had good reviews.

Thanks ppl...Its a beast of a mobo and like good to OC but i need better cooling..

yer i think ill just upgrade the BIOS and play around.. sadly its not listed in the manual .. but i got a fair idea of where it is..
