Hi there,

We studied RaMBaM/Maimonides (however you want to refer to him) for our Judaism Depth Study. Now, a quote that seems to be appearing in the 5-6 resources I've used for notes is "From Moses to Moses, there arose none like Moses". I really like the quote and it sums up his contribution/impact well. My question is, do markers hate seeing this quote in a RaMBaM essay? .. I know in English teachers hate seeing the same quote over and over again and if you use a commonly-used quote, it may taint your entire essay and prevent you from entering into that Band 6 range.

Your thoughts would be appreciated - thanks.

Using a quote is barely ever a bad idea. It shows you know your shit and have researched it, they are never gonna be like oh man ive seen a few essays with this quote, sorry BRegs but im gonna have to mark you down.

Mate that's the first time i've seen that quote and i'm studying him, lol. I doubt it, because markers should be sick of marking the same SOR test with unchanged syllabus for the past 7 years
