umm i really don't understand the interplay of rankings and uai/marks, i've just been told ranking is V.important.
i came first in 6 of my subjects and 3rd in the rest, does that mean i get the best mark for each subject regardless of raw hsc mark, and will this make a significant contribution to my uai?
i'm aiming for 90.
sorry if that is a ridiculous question.

basically the subjects that you came first for, it means that you get the highest rank exam mark for that subject as your moderated assessment mark, whilst keeping whatever you got for your exam mark. The average of those two marks gives you your subject mark.
