the pieces go for 5-8 minutes each. there's a few short films in there. they aren't based around a theme, just whatever we wanted to make. i can't tell you much about the other pieces because i haven't been to their rehearsals but there is something based on jabberwocky and a superhero and a dance thing.
if you go, my piece is 'yes!; arigato mega' which revolves around these four japanese schoolgirls and an old man.
shopfront is really good for experience. we got to do our own production stuff- like budgeting, publicity, press releases etc. and sound/lighting. plus we were allowed to write and direct our own pieces whereas other theatre companies don't let you. we got movement artists, multimedia artists, designers and stuff as mentors to help us.
AND it's waaay cheaper than ATYP/NIDA. (and better)
