I'm at school and doing Justice Game for Telling the Truth. For my related texts, would it be alright if I use...

1) An episode of Frontline? I know its another prescribed text for the module, so I'm not sure if its allowed or not.

2) A poem by Wilfred Owen. The English Standard class at my school are studying it, so im not too sure if that can somehow affect me using it for Advanced.

I need to write my essay as soon as possible, so any help will be GREATLY appreciated :)

Generally, it is not advisable to use related texts that are prescribed materials for other Modules/AOS whether it be standard or advanced.

The reasoning behind this is because (theoretically) there is an enormous amount of information on the web and in libraries on all prescribed texts (whether it be King Lear or Briar Rose) so essentially you are showing the marker that you have very limited reading. By picking texts within the syllabus, it is seen as 'the easy way out'.

However, if you can apply insightful analysis to your related text for eg Frontline, which most of the state has not addressed, then needless to say your marks should still be stellar.

At my school, if a text is in the HSC syllabus, and a student uses it as a related text, that student will get 0. :(
So yeah, I wouldn't recommend it.
