hi guys i was just doing my torts readings :uhhuh:

Romeo v Conservation Commission of the NT
in the case it said it previously was at the "intermediate appelate court"

are they reffering to the district court or the state supreme court :confused:

The District Court and Local/Magistrates Courts are inferior courts - no appellate jurisdiction. Therefore, appellate refers to the Supreme Court's appellate division - as the High Court is the ultimate court of appeal (hence not being intermediate).

jen, make sure you check in our textbook tho coz remember some state's have different supreme and district court structures:)
