Just wanted to raise the question, does anyone here run their own business whilst studying at Uni? The IT students seem to be the keenest ones, with many running their own business; many I know offer web site design and IT consulting services in their spare time.
Do you think it’s a bad thing due to distraction from studies?
I personally have run a small web hosting business for the past 3 years and it hasn't required too much of my time to interfere with studies, however the possibilities to grow the business are endless and often bugs me when Uni kicks into gear and gets in the way.
Recently I've started another side business selling iPod earphones (www.aussiepod.com.au for anyone interested) which is reasonably easy. Orders come in; I post the product - easy as cake.
Would be good to hear some opinions.
