Seeing as scaling is performed independent of the aligning process, does that mean that it doesn't matter how much a particular exam is aligned up - your UAI could be just as high if you do exams that happen to have little aligning benefit?
After scaling, is everybody truly on a level playing field? For instance, I seem to notice that a lot of the people who do Physics get higher UAIs, whilst those who do Economics and Business Studies didn't get as high UAIs (although this is only concluded from posts made on these forums). Are any particular people disadvantaged in anyway by the scaling process?
