If i scan something such as a test paper onto acrobat why does each page turn out so big ~6mb? How can you scan something and make it smaller?

Look for a compression setting in your conversion software.

Or reduce the scanners dots per inch. dpi.

I know my scanner with do it at 4800, but it can only print at 600dpi.
So i guess if you reduce the dpi to 300, which is suitable for only text, the file size should fall dramatically.

Then, if it is still to big, i guess you can .rar / .zip it.
