Just got my letter of confirmation for the University of Sydney Scholarships today. I think it's just a standard thing that everyone gets, but has anyone scored an outright rejection? I seem to recall reading somewhere that people have been rejected before the HSC results came out, which could be as early as now (I suppose).

Or am I just trying to pretend that I've been shortlisted when it's just a standard letter?

What exactly does the letter say?

It is highly likely that it is merely a confirmation letter to do just that, confirm.

I got one too, I think it's probably just a standard letter to everyone implying that they've received it

Yeh, it's heaps ambiguous because the first lines tells u that ur application was received and that it is now in consideration for the scholarship.... gives you some sort of false hope that you were a lucky one to get through and get ur application "considered" hehe
