I really don't understand why it is C. I thought currents were divided in parallel circuits and hence it would be smaller in D. please explain in detail

The amount of current is determined by how much resistance is in a circuit.

In a series circuit, there is a lot of resistance due to being more than one globe on the same line/path. Since there is more resistance, the current is less.

In a parallel circuit, the globes are on different paths, and results in having less resistance, meaning there is more current.

This can be seen using Ohm's Law, V=IR. Answer is C.

Thanks a million, so it is related to the voltage. Even though i knew ohm's law, it just didnt make the connection here
