Who's planning on doing Science/Advanced Science in 2004 as part of their degree? (single/combined/double)

Actually it's a mixture of applied maths and pure maths in first year. U study 12 credit points of maths in first year, namely differential calculus, linear algebra, integral calculus, and Statistics (or discrete maths).

Yeah the maths does assist with the comm degree, even though the maths in commerce is very elementary.

i'm doing a bachelor of science, then transfering to science/commerce!!:) see you all there!

does anyone have any advice on what subjects to choose in the first year? I take it maths, chem, physics and bio would keep my options open for different subjects not offered in the first year?

Yes that is true, but you should eliminate some of the intended majors now and save the trouble, the fourth slot is really for your other interests (unless it's science :D:D:D).

It could be harder to choose next year :D

yeah, i picked BE/B Sci, i would like to do B Sci (advanced), but how the heck do u meant to pick it? there was no such combination on the uac book....

btw, keypad- what major are u gonna do for engineering, i'm prolly gonna b doing civil or software. :)

im doing science(ad)/commerce
do u think if after the 3yrs, im happy with just a science degree, i can just not do the commerce one?

yeah, from what i heard, if ur doing a combined degree, u can always convert to the single degree.

yep you can drop one of your degrees, provided that you have satisfied all the requirments for that degrees including the necessary credit points!!
