BIOS is interesting and not too difficult.

Maths - well depends whether you are good at maths or not.

CHEM - much harder than HSC Chem.

I think Chem and Maths have summer courses. But not in BIOS. There are no winter courses.

Actually with First-Year courses, especially those prerequisites rarely function in Summer/Winter sessions.

The first-year one's I know for sure which do not run in Summer/Winter are:

MATH1031, BIOS1201, BIOS1101, MATH1041.

except - CHEM1011, CHEM1021 run every summer (Dec to feb).

You can usually check out the courses you need to do by searching for them at UNSW's Undergraduate Handbook and clicking Class Timetable. If you see any summer or winter sessions stated within that course, then you might be able to complete it during these times.

Chemistry courses are funnily not too hard to understand, but when it comes to exams, they ask you the most random of things, some of which don't really seem to be taught in lectures specifically, or perhaps those examiners really have the brains to think of hard questions.

Maths - Typically most pass, or achieve a credit, so long as its not statistical maths.

maths has pre-semester bridging courses, and maths 1b has summer session

maths 1a and 1b are both really easy, and you dont have to study much to get a high credit.
