Q.Insert six numbers between 43 and -6 such that the eight numbers form an arithmetic sequence

EDIT: the answer was 43,36,29,22,15,8,1,-6

t<sub>1</sub> = a = 43
t<sub>8</sub> = a + 7d = -6

Subbing t<sub>1</sub> into t<sub>8</sub> we get 7d = -49, so d = -7

Now that you know the commone difference just keep adding that to 43 to get your other terms

43, 43 + (-7), 43 + (2*-7)...
