my mate got banned from using shareaza because he was sharing copyrighted music.
does shareaza connect to the kazaa network?

not it doesn't connect to the fasttrack(kazaa) network

i used shareaza once to get something off emule, rather than downloading an emule client. it worked and i havent used it since. but im a big fan of bittorrent and prefer azureus for that.

The last time I tried it.. >1 month ago, it took a while to connect to Gnutella network (Gnutella1). Before, it couldn't even connect to Gnutella.
Its benefit is probably that it connects to Gnutella2 (which I think is still empty lol).
Not sure if Edonkey gives lower priority to Shareaza.
But probably 6 months ago (or more) I read that somebody wanted Shareaza to be banned from the eDonkey network.

I tried it for Torrent once, and it was fast. I didn't finish the download though.
And BTW don't use BitTorrent. Use BitTornado if you want a separate client.

Yep DC++ all the way. Some of the hubs' share limits are so incredibly high though!
