Well, that was one of my better poems, the others weren't bad, I just like that alot.

It is a disappointment, but if you want me to share anymore, feel free to ask, i'm not as embarrased now.

Oh, and not happy with Paisley who hasn't bothered to take a look, even though I promised and posted it because of that promise :(

:p I have one except its not deep or anything!

Writing poetry is not an easy thing to do
People seem to think it is saying, "Say what you think is true!"
Write what's in your heart and how you feel,
You can't go wrong because it's real!"

I wonder if people actually sit down and do that
Just let emotions flow until their soul's flat
Such a romantic notation!
To start a creation!
Out of nothing but what you feel and think!
Oh please, get real, that has to stink!

And darned if i can find anything to write
My wits and thoughts are out of sight!
I'll have to rhyme and get that style,
Grab the rhythm and go through piles
Of paper, trying out lines to see how they fit
Seeing if this verse goes with that bit.

Thank God for the computer or I'd been through
Thousands of rainforests that for years have grew!
And then I'd be dead
Those Greenies would have my head
On a pole with a sign saying, "AND she doesn't eat dolphin free tuna!"
................................... What the?!
Tuna?! What's tuna got to do with poetry?!
Let's get this over with a little sooner!

So to end this poem I think i'll conclude
I like dolphins, tuna, rainforests, Greenies and...
I have to say, I kind of like the poetry mood.

Hehehe ;) After being forced to write a poem for eng!

ok this is a fourth grade poem i've written about rejection. it's simple and short.

our eyes meet and you looked away
what were you trying to say?
you mumbled words in a way
hard for me to understand
I'm not in for another day
of those games you play
look me up in those eyes
i never asked you to stay.

Heres one of mine:-

Like a child lost in the woods,
I ran
Nothing but the damp, dark grass beneath me,
Towering trees beside me,
And the black clouds rolling in above me.
I paused
I hid behind the still, steady bodies of the trees,
Each leaf observed as it fell from its skeletal arm,
Its destiny was to lay on the ground, wither and die.
I had no hopes, no dreams,
My destiny already determined by my fears.
Scared and alone I was, afraid of what to do next,
Suddenly
There was a change.
I felt it in the wind,
Heard it in the trees,
Saw it in the skies.
I felt my body being lifted,
Higher and higher, faster and faster,
Finally
Mother Earth rushed to meet me with open arms,
Her grass no longer dark and damp,
But light and welcoming.
The trees budding with the promise of spring,
Dark descending clouds existed no more,
Now, instead, a clear blue sky hung above me.
I walk
Unafraid, happy and altered somehow.
My arms no longer seeking protection from the trees,
But firmly grasping onto the idea of hope, dreams and goals.
Where I once ran,
I now stand tall, proud and complete.

It was for a competition and be about "moving on"

Well done guys, and Chocoholic_Gal, that is really inspiring.

anyway here is one of my songs i've writtng just for the fun of it, which is what this is all about.

(verse1)

I've been here way too long
can't remember where we're from
and just who we are
Does it look real to you?
hope i'm not the only one
trapped in this dream

(Chorus)
I'm forgetting everything
your words are blurred to me
i feel it drift away from me
it's all just too far to see

(verse2)
Something always goes wrong
I don't even try to become
we don't really belong.
None of what you told me was true
I didn't want to believe
but it was all too clear.

Yes i do play guitar and i know how to program simple drum loops, and no i haven't written the musical part of the song yet. I'm not trying to do anything now because there are just too many things on hand. But when i get through these things i will try and make it into a proper song.
