Hi, I was planning on doing 3 majors, however something is about to stuff this up:

I have just discovered that MKTG 1002 is held in the second semester.
For students who are taking the marketing major, this would mean they have nothing to do for S1. ECMT1010 needs to be taken Year 1 S1. MKTG 1001 Y1 S2.
There is nothing at all they can do for the second year S1.
I am very worried about this, as this would stuff up my goal of three majors. That's not even to mention the fact that I wouldnt be able to take extra marketing units as intended.

You can do ECMT 1010 in semester 1 or semester 2 i dont see why you're limited to doing it in sem 1 only
MKTG 1001 is taken in Semester 1
MKTG 1002 is taken in Semester 2

It doesn't matter in what year you do MKTG 1002 since there are plenty of senior units in Marketing where if you have completed MKTG 1001 you can take that subject eg MKTG 3010

Hope that helps sort of

Yes, apparently I can do the following:
Y1S1: MKTG 1001, ECMT1010
Y1S2: MKTG 1002
Y2S1: MKTG 3001
Y2S2: MKTG 2002

So does that mean I can do any 3xxx units in my second year already :)

Also any clue as to how mnay units i need to do for a double major.
It used to be 2 jnr and 6snr subjects, but the woman i called up said 10 units - 60 credit points. It used to be 60 c.p. but I don't see how they can keep the same number. It's nearly impossible to take 10 units due to semester restrictions.
I don't

Hmm i think it may be 6 but will have to check yeah i don't get the 10 thing either since atm jr = 12 + sr = 48 ===> 60 not sure but i've heard they are going to change sr units cp value from 8 to 6 in 2006 so they may add a few units ???

Yep theyre changing all cp to 6. However majors will ll now be 36. That's 2 jnr and 4 snr, as it was before.
They cant really add any more units as that would be rediculously stupid, and I doubt many people would opt for a double majro :p

I think you'll find it's 36 SENIOR credit points for a major, i.e. 2 junior + 6 senior units.

2 junior + 6 senior = 48 credit points. It's meant to be 36 total
