should i do extension maths? question (1 Viewer)

hi, i am curretnyl doing extension maths ( year 11) and am wondering whether i should drop it and do ANCIEnt history. currently in maths we have done the like introductory topic, the one with parabolas and hyperbolas and trigonmetry and i find it abit hard n stuff and am wonderin whether i would be better at the hisrtory? any ideas

I suppose it depends on your aspirations after highschool.

If you are doing arty subjects in uni, you don't have to keep it.

UAI wise, you need to look for high 80s for Ancient

If I was dropping, I think I'd pick up Modern, cos I know a lot of people who did ancient and hated it, but just about everybody who does modern enjoys it

but modern is VERY good in terms of scaling......up to u really

well....u gotta remember that if u do ancient or modern history, u can then do history extension in yr 12, which may be good if u like it......
ignore anything u hear about scaling......as long as u enjoy the subject and ur motivated and enthusiastic, ull do well (people sometimes do u worse by choose high scalers that they don't enjoy).

and I enjoyed all the subjects :)

im not doing 13 units! the whole idea from moving from maths ext. to AH is im not happy so i wanna find something fun! but then i dont know what to drop, maybe i could drop chem
