Should i drop bio?!? (1 Viewer)

i'm getting confused whether or not i should drop biology. The thing is i'l coming first in rank, but i hear even if i get lk 87 in chem (which i got last year btw) and 98 in bio my chem marks would likely count towards my UAI

If this is the case, should i drop bio cos i would be wasting my time wouldnt i.

On the other hand, bio is not that hard- just memory lk most HSC subjects i can prolli finish it in wat lk 2 weeks and add another week to memorize dot points.

LOL sorry i forgot to mention i do 15 units!!!!

depends on what u wanna do at uni ie some course need 4u of science and also what u like best, like if u hate chem ditch that instead

Its abdooooo! again. Well if you topped your grade in bio I don't think it would be a wise move to drop it , what is the level of academic ability at your school and how many people do it? They are the aligned marks after all so maybe bio gets aligned better than chem - like with standard english, a mark of 90 is significately better in standard than in advanced.

EDIT: I put in SAM a mark of 87 for chem and you get a scaled mark of 42.7 and 98 for bio you get a scaled mark of 49.8

i think u just answered ur own question...

u say.... im definately not saying i agree, but anyway, u said that u can finish the bio course in 3 weeks...

so y would u drop a course u can get 95+ in 3 weeks... and i refer to a previous comment about SAM.... 95 in bio is MUCH better than 87 in chem... forget 98, 95 would be better... 95 in COMMUNITY AND FAMILY STUDIES!!! would be better than 87 in chem...

but it also depends on what school u goto... if u goto a selective school or a school in the top 35 then u are doing extremely well and i think that u should just drop wateva takes the most time... which i guess is 4u maths, but at least thats worth 2units.... and makes ur 3unit maths worth 2units as well....

if it was me i would do this..... drop ext english and drop either chem or bio or that distinction course, whichever takes the most time, drop that... ull need time for 4unit maths... even the smartest people spend HEAPS of time on 4u maths... if ur a wrote learn person than u should defienalty drop 4unit maths and keep ur sciences....

anyway. good luck, but make sure u drop at least 3units.... ext english will seriously waste ur time (im assuming that ur good at maths) considering its only one unit...

ud be an idiot to do 15units... no offence... but ur mark will suffer...and it will be completely pointless....

if you want to get into med, a mark of 98 in bio would could HIGHLY in your favour

someone who got 99.3 last year got into med with dodgy umat scores and i'm pretty sure it's cause he got 96 in bio and 94 in chem

but that's a personal opinion

and if you want to do law- fuck it off!!

na man i hate anything to do with society (except mayb this forum and BOS) as if i would do law. Theres a limit to wat u can learn in law. THere isnt in science
